Off East

So this is it. We’re off at 10am to Gatwick tomorrow morning for a flight to St. Petersburg. We’re homeless (well nearly, thanks Lu and Harry for putting us up) and our belongings are in our travel packs.

It took four attempts to pack our bags. Getting the right mix of essentials and the vast amount of electrical equipment into my bags has been a nightmare. What with clothing for -30 degrees and some clothing for +30 along with laptop, DSLR, video camera, portable hard drives, iPhone and all the associated chargers, adapters and cables my bags are stuffed to the brim. Here’s what I’ll be living out of for the next 6 months (the large one is 90% clothes 10% electrical goods, the small is 90% electrical goods 10% books)!
